To ATOT New Yorkers: Are the perfumes/colognes sold at Canal St (in Chinatown) in NYC real?

I know Canal St. is known to sell all fake stuff. Their brand name bags and watches are obviously fake and you can visibly tell (Coach, Louis Vuitton, Movado, etc).

But I've bought and spent their cologne several times (for like $5 each) because I actually think they're not fake. The casing, the plastic cap seal, the completely identical bottle design, shape, quality, weight, look and most important of all - their scent is EXACTLY the same (I have a sharp nose and been using the same cologne bought at Macy's for YEARS).

I think they're actually real products that 'fell off the truck' and are not fake. Can anyone else chime in to this?

I don't trust anything in Chinatown. Someone bought me a battery from there and just cause the packaging had one too many languages on it, I ditched it.

i bought a burberry and a "fake" John Paul Gauttier (sp?) the Box didn't even mention JPG on it - the burberry actually looked like a legit bottle -- for $20 each.

Had them a few months so far - and they're no different than the real thing (i've owned real bottles of the two in question)

I bought them lower down town by Chambers/Broadway FWIW, I don't frequent the bowery.

They smell nearly the same, but the chemical composition is suspect. I have a couple of friends who got rashes and boils from that crap.

By purchasing stuff there, you are only feeding the trolls.

Because if I don't, the trolls would cease to exist.

This is not true. Cockroaches have always found ways to survive. They've been doing this for centuries.

I really don't think the Chinese are bothering their time at their labs to get the closest scent. Bags and watches are easy to be faked as they're physical goods.

I think they're real and just fell off the truck and selling them for cheap.

I wouldn't buy it. I am in the market for some Creed myself...
