One thing I wished somebody told me a long time ago is, be sure to use compatible drivers with Rivatuner when running an unlocked 6800. Whenever you update the drivers and it gives you that warning message, it's a good idea to just keep whatever driver you've got that's accepted by Rivatuner, or it'll cause problems.

Someone stated the above earlier and i was wondering if anyone had a second opinion about this...
All benchmarks i ran after the unlock with rivatuner improved greatly and i wasnt using riva tuner recognized drivers. I ran 3dmark 03 and 05 huge improvments as with aquamark. But its hard to tell the difference in actual games but if my frames are being affected by this, the more no matter how little is better. Currently i can play doom 3 guildwars bf2 all really good at high settings, Bf2 some at medium. The only game i get situations with unacceptable frame rates is in CS Source, with the heavier maps like assault and inferno. Back when i had my radeon 9800 pro i could run the same settings only difference being textures set to medium and detail level to medium, currently i have it on high with 4aa and 4af exactly the same as i did with the 9800pro. It is playing better at the high settings than the 9800 pro did but not by much... So to anyone who knows, is it possible this driver issue, if it is even one causes youre unlocked pipes/shader/oc, to only benefit synthetic benchmarks and not real game performance. Basically what im trying to say is, If Rivatuner gives you that message about the unrecognized/incompatible driver issue, which i assume it always will seeing as how they cant possibly realease revisions as fast as vid card drivers come out can it somehow create a conflict causing ur unlocked pipes/shader/oc to only improve synthetic benchmarks and not real world gaming. Cause i onlt really unlocked and oced to try and achieve better performance in source as all other games ran nice. Any input into this would help thanks.

The latest rivatuner version works with the newest nvidia drivers. I had a 6800nu also. Unlocked and overclocked it with rivatuner. Ran great...especially in CS source. Was running everything on high @ 1024x768 4x/8x and was still getting close to 150fps. :) I've heard of people having problems with CS source though just like you. Who makes your 6800nu?? What kind of 3Dmark03 scores are you getting?

Here's my best with an NV5...I think it was @ 410/875 16/6...check it out...
