I can multiplayer source with high frames easily on a 32 player map with everything on high and 4aa 4af with my 6800nu... but on the other hand when i use the create server option and choose dust and set map to 32 bots.. just to mess around.. my fps turns into a slide... my frames dip to below 10 most of the time with other visible players on the map.. compared to multiplayer i get 75-120 frames same map... anyone know why this is?? or have the same problem???

I believe that would be because css is using a lot of your cpu power to run those bots.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't think so, because when you play with bots on your own server, you're using CPU power to run the server and control the bots. When you play online your CPU is just powering your own game.

At least, thats the way I think it works.

I can't remember exactly but I know it runs smooth at 1600x1200. Right now I am visiting with my parents for a few weeks so I only have my old laptop 🙁

Even if you have SLI 7800GTXs, CSS with 32 bots is going to be a slideshow. It's the CPU power that matters here, not the video card. I doubt even an A64 X2 can run CS:S with 32 bots at playable frame rates.
