To anyone who thinks nVidia's colors are washed out

I'm agreeing with you. :confused: I should have used "you" not "he". Sorry for the misunderstanding. The digital vibrance just raises the gamma too much in the midtones and clips it off at the top.

A little gamma adjustment can be good but it's really only gamma correction. Many of the calibration products give you a gamma ICM profile for your monitor. Adjustments are very subtle though. Plus, the brightness and contrast is correct on the monitor after calibration.

Digital Vibranace is a god send!...If you are using your PC with a 1980s TV -_-
There's no need for it and as indeed xtknight said, you lose color accuracy.

Actually I did notice this too, when switching from a 7800GT to an 1800XT... ATI's color looked much better with just the default setting. I remember playing de_dust2 right after switching and being blown away by the clarity and awesome color.

I'm sure there's a way to fix it with nvidia cards, I just didn't bother.
