to anyone that has a samsung a460 phone

how does the ringtone and wallpaper service for the phone work? how much do you have to pay? how is the phone itself?

I believe for that phone it works off of PCS Vision which is $10 a month for unlimited usage. I got the A500 and I'm very happy with it and the PCS Vision service thus far. Especially since they don't count minutes when using the web or anything vision relation. Just the $10 a month.

My cousin has some Samsung a460 or something phone. Reception is a joke on the thing, even for Sprint PCS (which isn't the greatest to begin with).

It has a Panda that walks on screen when you open it and not one single normal sounding ring. It goes "blonnnnnng-blonnnnnnng, blonnnnnng-blonnnnnng" when he receives a call.

He and I agree that his phone is the worst he's ever had for reception. Once again, do not buy this POS phone, for the reception will be horrible.

People who say this phone is a POS aren't really accurate because they think that the a phone that shows more bars on it in a certain area has better reception. This phone gets great reception and you can make phone calls even at zero bars, i had a timport before i got this a460 and the reception both phones is identical but the bars of reception are different. for expample, i got about 1 or 2 bars on my timeport, but it would drop calls if i was laying on my bed for some reason. The a460 gets 0 or 1 bars and it actually doesn;t drop the call as often as the timeport did.

I should consider designing my own fone and have it overexagerate the bars that display the reception since now i know there are people that really use that as a benchmark for actual reception, it would probably really sell well.

anyways get the phone or the a500 both really cool models, if i had the money, i would of gone for the a500, i'm just on a budget for now... good luck!
