I have found the invaluable solution to your problems. It is your DNS servers. Enter manually a DNS server. I chose microsoft's dns server and it never goes down. I don't remember the IP but if you go onto DSLREPORTS.COM and check their forums you should find about 100 different threads about this. So to everyone having problems with their AIM working but they can't access webpages and the like this is your solution.

MS' DNS servers went down for a while not tooooo long ago. But your isp should have decent dns servers for you.
