I had bought Two CPU fans 1 alpha and another and neither one fit in our case's ,my brother-inlaw has the same case and motherboard and we had to use a chopsaw to make one fit against the power supply,I also had to modify a section of the case because it was too tight, now i purchased the alpha 125 and that doesn't fit in my case ,the question is how can you reccomend a fan without knowing what kind of case and motherboard a person possessoces ,not that i don't appreciate your answers but i just though someone should ??? the case and motherboard the person has, before given a specfic answer, i might be wrong for saying this but we all don't have the same case!!!!!! or the same socket or slot

There are too many case and motherboard configuration available for anyone to have a list of what will fit or not fit. I understand your situation, because I had the same happen to me and my roommates before.

The best way to know if a certain product will fit your computer is to check the spec and find out what the dimension is for the particular product that you want. I think all the vendors should post as much spec as they can, so situation like this don't happen again.

"the question is how can you reccomend a fan without knowing what kind of case and motherboard a person possessoces(sic)"

Seems to me that if you post a question in one of the forums, it is incumbent upon you to provide all necessary information. It never ceases to amaze me the lack of info in some postings. Course, there are also a few "hip shot artist" giving advice here, but if you are a regular you can figure out who most of them are.

When I am researching HS/fans I go to the site and check the dimensions.
I am running duals so it is important to check size.
I suggest others do the same.
