Was just wondering what kind of results you are all hitting with these new chips?

I have two from week 307 and the first one appears to top out at around 2100ghz at stock voltage. That was a bit dissapointing cuz I'm hearing ppl hitting 2.4-2.6ghz with these. Just got everything yesterday and barely had time to play with it yet. Still learning how to use my abit n7f-s board so maybe I just have my board not setup correctly.

i'm holding out for the 0309's. but 2.1ghz on stock 1.5v is pretty damn nice. those ppl hitting 2.4-2.6 are running anywhere from 1.75 - 1.85v. i hear these chips don't like much voltage over 1.85 though. i think you have a good chance of hitting at least 2.4ghz since ur still at default voltage. good luck.

I would'nt judge the chip by running it at 1.5volts, I would judge it at how well it does at something like 1.75volts. Besides, 2.1gig @ 1.5v is excellent.

I got mine running at 2.3GHz (11.5x200) so far on 1.675V. I do notice that these 1.5V chips tend to run hotter than their 1.6V counterparts. That's probably why going over 1.85V increases their heat output dramatically.

update:
2nd one does not overclock any better than the other...in fact both are dead even. Here are my results:


12*166 @ 1.5v (2ghz)
13.5*166 @ 1.65v (2.25ghz)
14*166 @ 1.75v (2.33ghz)

I ran preliminary test at those 3 settings and both processors would pass those 3 settings. It's possible that lower voltages could work and higher overclocks maybe achieveable by raising cpu voltage beyond 1.75.

Have you done any modding to your board? (vdd mod, active/serious cooling for north/south bridges) I've heard that vdd mod significantly helps when pushing the cpu to the limit on nforce2 boards (I'm planning to do it this weekend). Have you tried with relaxed mem. settings?

Edit: I just noticed you're overclocking only the multiplier. I guess the mem. setting isn't an issue here.

I just ordered a 1.5v 0310 UPMW from Excaliber... I would rather pay a little more than depend upon luck of the draw.

what kind of temps are you, or anyone for that matter, getting for these overclocks? just wondering how my OC temps are fairing
