i know all you people are likely using ICQ.
my question is when i want to format Windows
,how do I save my contact list so i can use it to the freshly installed Window?I tried several methods with no luck leaving me to frustatingly rebuild my contact list again and again
any response will be greatly appreciated

if you are suing icq200a
save the 2000a folder somewhere saf. That is where all you cantacts are stored.

In your ICQ directory there's a database folder... in 2000a it's "2000a" and in 99b it's "db99b"... save that folder...

after you format and install new icq, replace the new database folder with the contents of the old folder... then run ICQ database converter and your contacts will be back...

Do a search at download.com for ICQ there is a program there that will back it up for you..
