I know you guys are out there - those that think they are overpriced glasses that aren't anything but a fashion statement...

Check out this study done - yes it is on Oakley's page, but it was done by an indepandant lab... It appears that they do a little more than look better than the competition.

You can see it the most clearly here

I agree, i LOVE my Oakley Minutes... Theres something about the lenses that just makes your eyes a great deal more comfortable in bright light without having to make the lenses dark as all hell...

I love mine as well - I currently own 3 pairs and ..... maybe you other oakley wearers have noticed it.. Do you think that your eyes feel really sensitive and almost hurt in the sunlight without the Oakleys on?? It's almost like they put visual crack in them so you always want to have them on when the sun is out.. It's a weird phenomenon - but maybe it's just me.

I'm an old fashioned Ray Ban kinda guy. :::shrug:::

I do wear Oakley's on warm skiing days and when I go mountain biking, though

In response to my last post - I would almost consider them to be addictive. Hard to believe but I can definitely say that I get ticked off if I don't have them and it gets bright out. Not to mention that they're great on my motorcycle when I'm not wearing a helmet. I can stick my head into 100+ mph wind and my eyes won't water. Impressive if you ask me.

I tried a sweet pair of e wires. I wanted them, but they cost $260 CDN. Maybe someday I can justify the cost...

Same here.. i'm the type of dude you see that always has my glasses on the brim of my hat.. I *hate* not having them when it gets bright out.. my eyes start hurting in no time if i can't get my glasses on when it's sunny.

I got mine back when Ashford used to have those $50 off $100 coupons... Picked up a $130 pair of minutes for $80....

I love my A-wires. Gold lense/Platinum frame. Best $135 I've ever spent. Yes, $135 on a pair of sunglasses. People pay mad amounts of money for computer parts that sit inside a case where no-one sees them(unless they cut a window) :p

ive had my metal jackets for 3 years now (not a scratch on the lens, though i changed the frames twice), the only sunglasses i found that fit my face like swimming goggles :D once i have them on, light doesnt come in around the edges :)

too bad oakley doesnt produce the same designs anymore, dont really like the new jackets.

hope these ones last me for a while more :)

those x metal ones look nice, though way too expensive :(

anyone tried those "overtop" ones? look pretty evil if u're a skinhead like me :D

[edit: gee that was a lotta smileys... i love my oakleys :D ]
