To All Liberals

Do you feel you are somehow enlightened? If you try, can you defend the opposite viewpoint, I bet you would say no until you give it a try.

All I?m saying is that the scientific facts and philosophical ideas you possess are reflected by morality and religion on the opposite side.

It?s like rationality and simple belief; they are so similar yet so different. This is exactly why Bush has won.

In order to win you need to influence the masses, stay away from dry facts and boring lectures. Give people beliefs but hide the truth in them, and then they will follow you.

Bush is not religious at all, he figured out a simple thing, most Americans in the suburbs are heavily influenced by religion. If you hide whatever you want and attach it to religion then whatever you want will be passed on as the right thing for everyday Americans.

Think about it.

Not all but most people who are not educated can't make decisions. I think an average American living in the south can't.

Look it?s very simple, the republicans are using fear and religion to attract the masses. It?s sociological brainwashing, they scare you then they make it look like they are the good and everything else is labeled ?evil?. The average Americans are at least somewhat religious and tend to choose that path, no matter what the issue is.

Americans get the government they deserve. For example, we are in this Iraq mess because Americans, many of them on this board, were dumb enough to support it. We are running huge deficits, because Americans in large part like big government and low taxes at the same time.

Yes exactly my point, now if you pushed a Liberal agenda in a religious way then you can archive world peace and solve hunger and whatever you want.

Let's not forget pink fluffy bunnies and unicorns for everyone. :disgust:

There's a lot wrong with this country, and blaming it on any one party is denial.

Religion is a matter of personal faith. If you design a public policy based on faith instead of common sense, you get into the messes that Republicans are getting us into.

You wont get into any mess, can anyone understand what I'm talking about? Attract the people in the south and make them understand.

They do understand. Its just that they want a Southerner to lead them. Theres a reason why the last Northern Democratic president was JFK.

Do we really need this?

Religious moderates need to start acting responsibly instead of being such pussy-footers. That's the real problem. Many of them would rather side with their right wing wacko religious brethren rather than take the hard road. It's sort of like the decision Hercules had to make. The easy life with fluff and Madison Ave light thinking or the complicated, rigorous life with it's bumps and pitfalls. Bush likes to fill Americans full of Vanilla Pudding, not kasha. In the long run, Vanilla Pudding will make you fat and weak. Kasha will make you lean and strong.

If you want to be weak, follow Bush.

We don't need to try to sell any more ideas with Madison Avenue verve, elan, shtick, or lies. The social security battle coming up is going to be all about perception, lies, and weakness. It won't be about truth, honesty and compassion. Those values are dead.
