Independence Day is a very important day - not only for citizens of the USA but for all of us living in the west and quite a few living in the east.

Without the help of the free and powerful USA in World War II and some important conflicts later, the world would have looked much different compared to now - and not necessarily better.

I hope that you have a great celebration of the Independence Day and wish all my friends in the USA a happy day today and a successful future.

God bless you all and your leaders - now more than ever!

Thank you, petrusbroder, for your heartfelt comments about our Independence Day. I am glad to know that not everyone considers us "The Evil Empire" (Including some of those lefty weirdos in the US of A). I am still fearful that the foundations of our republic is being constantly being worn away by those who claim to want to save America but secretly pushing us towards Socialism. It's a shame that back in the 1960's the chage in the Immigration Laws reduced the amount from Europe and other well-educated countries to those nations that only wish to leach from this country and not contribute to its improvements and thereby improving the fate of all other humans across this world.

Thank you...

Thanks petrusbroder 😀

I will remind everyone that this isn't a political forum and I do not believe petrus's comments were meant to stir up any politics.

Comments about lefty weirdos and facist right wingers are not for here. Remember we are a diverse team of people some of whom might be lefty weirdos and facist right wingers. For the sake of team unity keep political comments in P&N.

Thanks Peter! And thanks to our friends in the U.K. for the holiday! 😉

And for a grand 4th of July, congrats to the folks at NASA for getting the shuttle Discovery in orbit!! :moon::beer::sun:

Thank you, Peter. That is probably the best July 4th thank you I've ever seen posted in these forums! 🙂

On this day I wish everyone with-in US terrirtory's "HAPPY BIRTHDAY"

I extend a deep thanks to all our team-mates world wide. Without those that came from all the other countries of the world...America would not be what it is today. The vision of a better world ....a better life.........is what this country is all about. All that have contributed are responsible for the success of this nation.

So............today,...not only do we honor our birth......but, we honor the rest of the the world. For they made this nation possible.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA :gift::gift::gift::gift::gift::gift::gift::gift::gift::gift::gift::gift::gift::gift::gift::gift::gift::gift::gift::gift::gift:

So true Crazee, so true. This really isn't the place to discuss politics.

I, too, wish the US a happy 4th of July, but there are other things I don't agree with.

But let's keep it that way, TeAm is a diverse place and everybody is entitled to his or her opinion. As long as we crunch together, the other things don't matter.

Thanks petrusbroder! Freedom is a gift to be cherished by all. I pray that someday every nation will be able to celebrate an Independence Day of their own.

Discovery just topped it off. My kids sat glued to the TV as, to quote another great American, she and her crew "slipped the surly bonds of Earth" on her current mission. What better "fireworks" than a shuttle launch!
