I'm just wondering what all you 780G based mobo users are getting for your NB temps. Like a complete idiot I neglected to check my temps before I upgraded to a Xigmatek heatpipe cooler and now Iunno how good my temps are now compared to what they might have been. At this point I just wanna make sure that my temps are at least lower than the average stock cooler temps of other 780G mobo's.
Atm with a XIGMATEK PTR-N881 I'm getting about 30* C in a more or less idle situation.
EDIT :
I put my new 4850e in and while I was at it turned the Xigmatek so the heatpipes are going upwards like they should be for a heatpipe to work properly, then I had to put the fan on my Ultima 90 blowing downwards to accomodate the new XIgmatek position. Now there is at least air going to the Xigmatek but now my NB temps are 45* C ish idle
which is more realistic than 30*C if you ask me as I know the 780G runs hot and my 30* C reading might have been a fluke but now I'm left wondering if the Xigmatek might possibly not be making full contact with the NB.
With the new situation I now need more than before to compare my temps with people running stock or after market cooling on thier 780G like the HR-05 and stuff so I can see if my 30* c reading before was a fluke or if I need to yank my mobo back out again and reseat the Xigmatek.
