I am spec'ing out a new PC, with a core 2 duo E6400, 2GB of memory, and a nVidia 8800GTX. So, I'm thinking about the Asus P5N-E SLI 650i mobo, but the reports on it or iffy. Some say there's no problem at all, others say beware.

Should I go with the stable BadAxe2? Or will I be selling myself short.

I am not a hardcore OC'er, but I definitely want to do a little OC'ing.

TIA...

BTW, you guys/gals make these forums the best in the world...

I have looked at it briefly, and have heard great things about it. But is it better than a BadAxe2, or the 650i chipset, in terms of maximizing the core 2 duo procs?

there are a lot of good oc mobos out there at the moment so you have to decide what features that you need & what your budget is.
A 650i is 1/2 the price of a Badaxe2 & if it does everything that you want then why spend more?
On the other hand if it doesn't have the features that you need then it isn't the solution for you.
There are also a couple of other 650i SLI mobos out now (abit & MSI) so maybe look for some feedback on those too.
