TNT2Vanta overclock?

I've talked to a lot of people who've had problems using any version of TNTCLK to overclock their video card, myself included. I would suggest downloading the latest version of Powerstrip (currently v2.74) from the Powerstrip Home Page. Once you've got it installed, open up the "Performance" window and use the bars in there to overclock your card.

Hey, let us know exactly what model of card, how far you overclock it and the temperature it runs at, will you? 🙂

Thanx for replaying, I didn't use TNTCLK.

I use NVmax 0.215 from tweakfiles instead. It unlock the hardware option included in the Detonator3 driver, I use that to overclock it.

In terms of speed of my refub. $21 TNT2 Vanta card from
overstock.com, the default is:

Core: 100mhz
Mem: 125mhz (nayen -7 8meg ram the best ram from Taiwan (I heard))

Overclock (so far I overclocked it, haven't try to push it more):

Core: 110mhz
Mem: 135mhz

The benchmark generated from 3D Mark 2000:

Setting: 800x600 32bit color depth, texture 32bit, z buffer 24bit, frame buffer triple

default speed score: 1018

Overclocked speed score: 1102

Interms of temperature........I don't know because when I tested it, I didn't measure it. I think if I am going to o/c some more speed, I might want to get heat sinks and fan to ease down the temp on the chip, because the card doesn't come with neither heatsink nor fans.

System:
CPU: PII400mhz
Ram: 128 meg
Mobo: Abit BH6 (440BX chipset)(AGP 2x)
HD: WD 20.5G speed: 7200rpm seektime: 9ms
Video Card: Visiontek Refurb. 8 meg TNT2 Vanta
Soundcard: Vertex 1 A3d card
Speaker: MicroSoft Digital System 80
Case: Iwin Q500 Powersupply: 300w
Monitor: 17" Radius Monitor
Flppy: Sony 1.44
SCSI Card: Diamond Fireport 40
CDrom: Memorex 32x
Cdrw: SCSI Plextor 12x4x32
Zipdrive: Ext. SCSI IOmega zip100
TV Tuner: Avermedia TV98 (got it for $19.95 I know not as good as ATI but it is cheap)
Two NIC: Intel and SMC

I am not sure if any of this will affact the performace of the card so , if it does please let me know.
