i've recently installed win2k and UT on my c366@555 desktop and i'm getting weird results with UT. at the UT menu, my cursor basically disappears. if i move it to the right edge, i can see it, but when i move it towards the centre, it disappears. when i tried connecting to my friends server, i get the ip-input screen but some letters seem to be missing from the msg that appear on the screen -- i c things like "U re l Tour am nt" ... i havent tried starting the game, as i was preoccupied with solving this problem. i updated everything there is thru the MS webpage, so my win2k is current (directx and all). i've also downloaded creative's newest drivers for the TNT2U. i've no problems with starcraft but i havent had the chance to try other games (fresh win2k install on a new hdd).
if anyone has had experience with the creative TNT2 ultra with win2k, i'd appreciate any comments. i hope this isnt a TNT2U compatibility problem. i was able to play UT without these problems on a win2k p3-650 laptop with ATI Rage mobility video. thanks a bundle guys.
