I recently put a CL TNT2 in my wifes machine (Celeron II 533a @950mhz 1.8) I first installed the Detonator 3 6.26 drivers (which I use with my GF 2 GTS 64meg) and it worked fine but after reading some post about the older TNT2`s not being able to take advantage of the newer D3 drivers so I decided to install the older D2`s to optimize the older chipset... Well It refuses to boot into Win98SE it will start and just hang not lockup. Any ideas as to whats going on with this???
BTW I tried several too 5.13, 5.32 and so on...

PS yes I uninstalled the newer drivers first and setup as a plain jane VGA adapter...

When i had a viper 770 tnt2 i could not get the 5.xx drivers to take either, they just would not work at all, the 6.xx series worked fine, but the best stability and performance came from the 3.68 drivers.

CL tnt2, I have one of these zuckers myself, the ultra version, but I don't see anything ultra about it! still can't believe I paid $162 for the zucker early this march! When you say it refuses to boot into windows, do you mean you get a blue screen vxd error or does it just stay at the win98 logo but the colorbar still moves at the bottom? also if you uninstalled the driver by just removing it for the device manager or did you delete every file one by one, even the dll, if you can go into safe mode, try to use the find option to search for any remain nvidia files in the windows directory & see if the display adapter in device manager now says standard vga, also the best driver to use with the tnt2 is the 3.xx series, i've tried every beta from the 5.xx-6.xx & they give minor graphical problems in windows & certain games have worst effects, like rogue spear. CL 3.68 is the best to use if you want their drivers, but I'm using the whql 3.79 nvidia drivers, & after doing a few test with each beta & official drivers, the 3.79 whql are the most stable drivers for my CL tnt2 ultra, reactorcritical has the whql 3.79 nvidia drivers, but their site is down or gone today.

Hey TNT experts, I have TNT(1) 16 meg PCI cards in my kids PC's. One is a CL, one is an STB. The PC's are MMX 233's. I have 5.33 drivers in there now. Should I "downgrade" to the 3.xx drivers? If so, which ones?

Thanks!
