I currently have a voodoo 3 3000. It sufficiently meets most of my needs, as I am not a heavy gamer. I got in on a deal at Best Buy where I got 2 VisionTek 4X AGP TNT2 Vanta 3D Graphics Accelerators for $19.95 each.

Knowing next to nothing about the world of Video, how does the TNT2 card measure up when compared to the Voodoo3 3000?

Thanks

Go with the Voodoo3 3000.

The TNT2 Vanta is even worse than the TNT2 M64....the Vanta is really just a die shrink and small speed increment to the original TNT1 core.

The Voodoo 3 would have better 2D as well.

$20 isn't so bad for a tnt2 vanta, I'd keep your v3 3000 it's much faster than the tnt2 vanta's you bought, just sell them on an auction site or something.

Yeah, the Voodoo 3 would perform better than the TNT2 Vanta. The Vanta is just a severely crippled TNT2 core.
