TNT2 Ultra - New Install and "Artifacts?"

Guys, I finally replaced an aging Hercules Thriller 3D 8MB PCI card on my BH6 w/ a Leadtek S320-II TNT2 32MB Ultra card. Card is not overclocked, nor is my BH6 (P!!!-650). Bottom line is this - I'm getting strange blue artifacts on some, but not all, screens - only on text.

Now, I did some driver swapping, going between the Leadtek and nVidia reference drivers. Can one (or more) of you video/nVidia guru's help me get to a stable driver situation so these annoying blue "stragglers" go away?

TIA,

Jeff

Hmm that is the weirdest problem in the world. If you didn;t overclock it and nor is your system overclocked, i can't think of anything that would be causing the artifact. Do the artifacts happen in just plain windows 98 too, like without running a game? Hmm well the only things i can come up with is basic stuff like checking your connection with the video card and the motherboard, and also with the monitor connector and video card. Besides that, hmm could maybe be a bios setting but i can't think of one that would cause that.

Well, here's the latest on the blue artifacts I'm seeing, almost exclusively on text based pages. I spoke w/ Leadtek and we tried a number of things, and nothing reduced or eliminated the screen artifacts. Leadtek technical support said it's very likely an issue w/ the video card memory, and they suggested a replacement of the card (under warranty). We'll see if that fixes the issue.
