I have an Asus P5a mobo with a TNT2 Ultra card. I could never get the AGP 2x out of it cause they said that the architecture couldn't provide enough voltage to the AGP socket.

My questions are, what might be the specs for the AGP slot on this mobo? Would it be 1.5volt/3.3volt or just 3.3volt? And could I actually get better performance with one of the newer cards that are of the 1.5volt variety? Could I use my TNT2 Ultra in a new amd mobo and get ok performance without frying the slot.. are the new agp slots 1.5/3.3? Thanx for any ideas you might have.

Cant comment on what the P5A board can take, although getting a better graphics card for such an old board and CPU combo wouldn't give you much of a gain.

As far as the TNT2 card goes - I'm pretty sure most TNT2 cards were keyed for both 1.5 and 3.3v operation, so it has a good chance of working in pretty much any system.
