Hi

I have a Athlon xp 1500 + with 256 ram and soltek 75kav mb. The 3d card is a 32 mb riva tnt2 . i read from reviews that a 3d mark score of 1600 would be decent at a resolution of 1024X768. But i get ony around 800. and twice this at 640X480. I have the loaded the latest Nvidia drivers. this doesnt seem to help much. i am running direct x 8 with winxp. is there any setting to be tweaked in the display property. how can i improve the frame rate and the 3d score.

BTW, which 3DMark are you running? 2000 or 2001SE? I wouldn't go higher than 2000 with a TNT2.

I ran 3d mark 2001 se. the place where i saw a score of 1600 was using the first edition. I am still puzzled if the version change could reduce the score so much?

Of course it could. I get 2x as much scores running 2000 vs 2001SE on my video card!

I think he meant 2001 first edition vs. 2001 second edition, and no, the score should not change between the two.
