I bought a Diamond viper v550 off my brother's boss. They both say (brother + his boss) it is a TNT2 :Q. I say it is a TNT1. So in summary this is what the Diamond cards use

V330 nVidia 128
V550 nVidia TNT
V770 nVidia TNT2 non-ultra and also
V770 nVidia TNT2 ultra

is this correct??

thanks for your reply dc :). i just sent my brother an email about this thread. I bought this card out of money my brother owed me (so he owed me less), so it looks like my brother owes me more money now :)

Well first of all I bought this card when it came out! November of 98' so that should end ANY skepticism of it being a TNT2! Yes it is a TNT1, no doubt about it. You must have done something bad to your bro? hehe.. I sold this card about 6 months ago for 50 bucks, and I thought that was being kind of mean to the guy :p

First, you should be using reference drivers that would tell you the chipset, not the stupid model name. Yeah, it is a TNT1.

Count on your own family to screw you...at least it was not your mother or grandmother ripping you off with a vidio card scam...

they are going to hand over a TNT2 now :) but they are charging an extra AUS$10 as it has a fan on it. Well that is another thing getting taken out of the money that my brother owes me ;)

Man your brother is an asshole, no offence but him trying to con you seems like a pretty low thing for a brother to do.

I am not worried, it is not like he can close up shop (like some stores). He is a tech guy at a local college, and the way that he treats some of his stuff here would prob get him fired there(looses his temper saying i get enought of this sh*t at work!!).

I don't think he tried to con me, it is just that he doesn't know as much as me when it comes to computer stuff:) so i was able to inform him of his (+bosses) mistake, all should be fixed in a few hours :D
