TNT2 32mb msi video card, is it compatible with the msi pro2a and tbird.

After installing the card, my 17" monitor will have little lines on the top that go halfway down the screen. The monitor was new as well, but the problem will diappear sometimes when I reboot and sometimes not??? Any suggestions??
