I recently upgraded by FIC503+ (E0037) from a K6-II/350 to K6-III+/450MHz.
I) Flashed to JE4330
II) Did all the appropriate jumper setting changes
Before:
The TNT worked fine in the system with the
K6-II @ 350MHz. AGP apature 64 and 2x enabled.
(Worked with video bios shadow and cacheable also)
& yes I have the VGA IRQ option enabled!
Now:
System is extremely flakly on boot now. Most
the time bois beeps and I never even get the bios
display on the monitor. Once in a while the bois
display comes up. If it does its sure go right on through
to windows and is rock solid until I do a soft (or hard)
reboot at which point I'm back to crossing my fingers.
I have seen conflicting posts about FIC503+ and AGP any
recommendations. I know this is an AGP issue because
I swapped in an old PCI video card and the system
immediately became rock solid. I would like to make
the TNT work if I can. It may be a piece of junk but
it outperforms anything I have right now and I'd rather
save for a DURON system than put by another AGP card.
