I was watching Octopussy last night. I noticed that there were quite a few commercial breaks. The movie started at 8:00 cst. About 9:30 I am starting to get tired and think well it should be nearly over. Then I clicked on the guide and it showed that the movie went off at 11:00! The movies official running time is 125 minutes. So that means they crammed in 55 mintes of commercials. What the crap?

I guess I will have to wait for 7 days of 007 on tbs, although those bastards are not much better. Plus the commericials are always way louder then the movie which is another WTF?!
 
I've noticed that too, the commericals are 10 times louder than the actuall program. I really hate how TV Station advertise themselves.

Sometimes Sci-fi has old episodes of Quantum Leap on.... Kinda sucks that it's in the day time though.

TNN may have issues with movies, but at least the A-Team is still aired on that station. 😀
 
TNN has that ridiculous banner at the bottom of each show. I hate that...

I couldn't agree with you more. While the movie "Octopussy" was the uncut version as promoted by TNN, they CUT it apart with way too many commercial breaks. And yes, the bar that's constantly displayed at the bottom does suck. 🙁
 
Am I the only one that remembers when TNN was "The Nashville Network" and used to show the Grand Ole Opry every week? I didn't really like it, but the "New TNN" isn't all that hot either.

Nope, USA is the worst. Of course they never show anything I want to watch. Walker, Texas Ranger for 6 hours a day? Come on!
 
Replay TV=Commercial Skip

Though they're bankrupt so you might want to see how it plays out before buying. I love mine, they better not take away commercial skip or I'l be pissed, it's the only thing that makes TV watchable.
 
I can't stand watching any movie on television where they edit for time allotment and for content. I'm also with caramel in that the people who do the editing seem to have no sense of the movie, and skip to commercial at the worst times.
