but only seasons 1 and 2 right now.

It looks awesome. You can see stubble on Riker and Picard. Tashas big beautiful eyes, I think they also enhanced the visual effects.

Actually I found one downside.

The cheap crummy TV makeup is now more obvious on people's skin.

It's too bad they didn't originally film TNG in widescreen like they did with Seinfeld. All of the seinfeld remastered HD episodes look great on TBS.

I always thought it was because they used proper film cameras instead of TV/tape cameras, so it was easy to go back and remaster.

One of the reasons I liked Generations (the first TNG movie), despite the many criticisms that others had, was how beautiful it was to see the bridge and other sets in widescreen on good film. The richer colors in particular were nice, since everything in the series always seemed so pale.

The best part is that they updated both the SD and HD versions with the same masters. Even the SD version has the updated effects.

Because Seinfeld is awesome.

Agreed, but I'm not sure I need to see Jerry's jew mullet in hd.

Am playing side by side with the originals on Netflix.

Noticing how bright and colorful the sets and costumes were originally. The video transfer dulled most of that.

Lwaxana in particular wore outrageous colors.

Do you go to trecky conventions?
