I can't figure this one out. Mpegs and other things work fine but as soon as i click encode to start it crashes with a error (80050057)
I tried it on the x2 4400 with a 7800 VC and then my old 2800+ (6800 VC) and got the same error.
So I tried the compaq 3200 AMD 64 (some nvideo VC that's pretty weak) and it didn't crash. It just started the encoding the file.
I am building a media file PC and converting the .avi files to mpeg makes for huge files and the media format is a lot smaller. Takes so much longer to take the avi to a wmv/asf compared to a mpeg, that part I hate but I can just start it and let it go.
Anyone seen this error. I thought I googled enough to find the answer but so far no go
Also, I am running the Divx codec pack on all 3 PCs so why one works is a puzzle to me
I also tried the xvid codec pack.
