I havent been able to try this, because they wanted me to put down a hefty deposit to signup for service. They were ready to pricematch amazon.com though.

2) Call up local tmobile store if they have the phone in stock and make sure they would pricematch.
3)Go signup at local store
4)Mail in tmobile rebate for an extra $50 off plans over $35 Tmobile rebate
This is a good deal if it works since you dont have to pay any cash up front other than possible deposit (depending on credit). Theres like a $35 activation fee, not sure if you pay that up front or with first month's statement. Amazon.com deal is a Rebate from amazon for the phones.
Amazon rebate ends march 25th, tmobile rebate ends march 31. Service agreements are like 1yr, 40day money back guarantee is what the guy told me at the store.
