put it short.....

GF's internet no longer works. She calls support from my phone (a cheap samsung). Right away, they just go, "Iphone user will no longer be able to use the internet unless they upgrade to the 24.99 plan". This could be a local thing, but beware.

Not surprising. iphone users have been proven to use much more data than other users.

There is no 'T-Zones hack' anymore..with the newer firmwares you just put in epc.tmobile.com..been doing that since 2.1 I think on my 3G and my origonal EDGE phone.

I have the 4.99 TZones plan.

Sounds more like they're cracking down on people who were screwing T-Mobile. Not sure why it took them so long.

How is it screwing them? You pay for a service, they should honor it, no matter the phone :)

The same way they are cracking down on torrent users and are setting caps. ;)

Nooooo!! Free opt out of contract maybe? I have been out of contract for 3-4 years though...if they do MAKE me pay that much, I will just go to AT&T to get 3G at least at that price.

Well...the system still shows her phone as her old one...they sent her an "update" after she used her sexy woman voice and power of persuasion. It works now...so i guess you just have to complain.

LOL....they just upgraded her plan too...for $10 more, she gets unlimited everything. They just said, "We do not want to lose you and we are sorry for the trouble...we will upgrade your plan with no contract"

I was aware that people have been paying for "lesser" T-mobile data plans and using exploits to get full data service for a very low cost. Based on your posts, it sounds like that is T-zones, and you are probably using it in a way that it was not intended to be used. Likely in violation of the terms of service. It's a cheap plan for a reason, and if they don't want to offer it on the iPhone, they don't have to.
