Tmobile...49.95 unlimited nation wide calling upgrade

signed into tmobile today, got this offer (did not take it though...I never go over my 600 minutes).

Huge YMMV....I have been a customer for...geesh...8 years??? I have no idea what the threshold for "long time customer is", so do not ask me.

i love tmobile and have unlimited everything from them for super good price.. 50 aint bad if it includes unlimited internet hehe but im spoiled on the plan i have now..

tmonews.com has blurb about this with a screenshot.

Supposedly the long time customer threshold is 22 months and a reliable payment history.

yes, according to one agent I spoke to today it is only valid to customer who has 22 months of contracted service and want to switch (as someone has already mentioned).

another agent said it is only valid in selected regions (San francisco is the one he told me) and not valid in LA.

So, i'm eligible for this offer and click on the banner after I login, but since i'm on a family plan + the Gphone data plan, it really doesn't apply.

woulda been nice!

And thanks to this post, I realized when I upgraded to the $34.99/m unlimited data/text/email plan, they didn't cancel my $9.99 1000 texts/m plan.

I'm hoping they credit that difference...

this is a great deal for a single line phone. unfortunately the family unlimited plan is 89.99 (1 addtl line). i've been with T-mobile since they were Voicestream (8-10 yrs I think). Excellent customer service all these years.

I don't get the offer anymore

Still there for me at the moment. I hope they don't pull it that quickly, I'm still on the fence on this one as I'm on a My Favs 300 plan at 39.99 right now and am wondering if it is worth the $10 a month not to worry about waiting on hold at times.

I wouldn't mind this upgrade, too bad I've only been on tmobile for 6 months. I do use like 7k minutes a month though, good thing I have favorites.

Boost is still a better deal. They include text web, and more for the same price.

I am on TMobile, and can get this deal - but see no reason. My current plan is 1500 anytime, and I have to pay $4.99 for text. If I go "unlimited" (i don't use anywhere near 1500 minute/mo), I will have to extend my contract.

I'll pass - but great deal for some.

If they threw in text (I don't need/use web) I would be on it in a heartbeat.

As far as extending your contract I saw nothing stating this when I was going through the process just before a submit, I know if you get a new phone you have to extend but didn't see anything on that for changing your plan.

Its a great deal if you talk a lot and exceed your minutes on a normal basis. As a tmobile customer since 2004, I think this 'appreciation' is more of a overall deal to all reading your comments that anyone can get it. So much for appreciation of loyaly. Honestly, if I had the opporunity I'd switch but I have many friends who have tmobile so I enjoy the free mobile to mobile. But every so often, my calls drop.

I love their G1 though. If only they had a deal on unlimited text/internet/and minutes then this would be a sweet 'customer appreciation' deal.
