Tmobile 1500 whenever minutes for 39.99/month

I didn't see this posted so I thought it might be a good deal for those who are interested in opening a line. Go the tmobile website. Didn't see this deal on Amazon.com for the plans.

Except that, in my experience, T-Mobile service is beyond horrible. That's why the offer such cheap plans, because they don't work right anyways. I kept a log when I had them, and during a 3 week period if I was moving (in my car), 40% of my calls would be dropped at some point. I also had 9 people say they tried to call me during those 3 weeks but my phone never rang.

When I called to complain about this, their response was (direct quote) "Yeah, that'll happen"

Just a word of warning. I know different carries have better or worse coverage depending on the area, but I've heard horror stories about T-Mobile from others as well. In my case, I couldn't have been happier to switch away from them.

you switched to...?

Sorry, I thought it was anywhere but coverage restricted to regional.
It is being advertised in the Denver market but was on national cable, so I thought it was everywhere.

tmobile sux.... had them for 3 years... customer service is horrible.. reception is horrible... they are only cheap because they realize they only have to cater to the low income individual.

T-Mobil in my area is much M U C H better than Cingular/AT&T...Verison is better, but I have never had problems with T-mobil, so I dont see any reason to switch to Verison and pay out the ass...

T-Mobile's been good to me for almost 2 years now in Minneapolis, MN.

From the website:
*Based on 7/25/05 comparison of published nationwide wireless single-line voice plans at $39.99/mo. Prices exclusive to T-Mobile.com or T-Mobile Telesales. Valid only with a new line of service on a qualifying rate plan for a 1-year minimum contract. Existing customers must add a new line of service to qualify. Final price is after rebates. Additional voice minutes on the Get More plan are $0.40 each. Free shipping in 3-5 business days. Taxes additional. Limited-time offer, while supplies last.

I don't suppose there's anyway to upgrade my 1000 whenever minutes to this new plan? I wouldn't mind a contract extension.

I had T-Mobile for 2 years here in the Seattle area. I didn't have any problems. I ended up switching to T-Mobile To Go (prepaid) because I only use around a hundred minutes per month. I buy a thousand minute card for $100 and it'll last me almost a year. It's a lot cheaper than paying $50 (39.99 + appx. 10 tax/fees) every month.

I have the same question... I've got the family plan with 1000 minutes. I'd be looking to add a new line and get a better plan.

It really depends on where you are. With Cingular or Verizon you should get good coverage almost anywhere, but with T-mobile if you are in a good coverage area you should be fine.

I switched from Sprint to T-Mobile and it has been much better service. In the Atlanta area I have much fewer dropped calls with them than Cingular or Sprint.

This may have been mentioned already, but this plan is not available to Smart Access customers (those with lousy credit). I just called, and my SA plan is up Dec 11th, and the lady seemed to think the plan was still going to be around for quite sometime incase I wanted to upgrade then.

t-mobile's great, cheap prices, great customer service, and service is getting better everywhere with roaming agreements, and they unlock all my phones 🙂

i use tmobile to go in the vegas area....i always get good signal...im working on a new cingular network here...when its up and running the cingular clients will be getting high speed internet options(pretty fast DL speeds)...prob raise the price a bit tho

I had T-Mobile for a year and a half. 8 months of that was disputing their idiotic billing problems on my account. Then they told me the wrong date for my contract being up and when I cancelled my service I got another 4 months of disputing the ETF.

I reported them to the BBB, FCC, Angie's List, anyone who could help. T-Mobile had the worst CS and their total incompetence cost me valuable time each and every month.

I had TMobile for a year and a half as my first cell phone plan. I got the 600 minute plan for $39.99 per month and paid $2.99 for free nights and weekends.

TMobile messed up about 4 of my bills in that eighteen month period. I was able to get them all fixed with a bit of hassle. I then moved to a new apartment and there was no reception at all so I finally switched to Sprint... which nickel and dimed me to death and would drop calls... and now I've switched to Vreizon... which costs the most and still drops calls.

I might switch back to Sprint next year.

Adding the free nights and weekends to TMobile still makes this a great deal at $49.99. I was paying $69.99 with Sprint for 1100 minutes plus free nights and weekends.
