I think all the 6sp MT came with the bigger rotors and brakes. I've heard ridiculous stories about people having to change their brakes after 20k miles etc. I'm wondering if the VSA significantly wears on your brakes and if it reduces your MPG. I've only owned it for a less than a month so I don't have any reference.

dunno about the TL but on the V6 accord there is a button toward the bottom left of your dashboard near your knee that says "TCS off". it should be similar to that, but check your manual

Are you constantly breaking traction and unsettling the car while driving? If the answer is yes then then even all those micro-actions of the brakes will have almost zero impact on their life.

you're better off asking at a REAL car forum like vtec.net or something related to acura.

you're not likely to get much help about specifics here

Keep it on, unless you track. Its a effective safety system

Yeah, I'm thinking you should just go ahead and leave if you really don't like it.

You could force it off by disconnecting the right wires and fuses but I wouldn't do that. In addition to making your car unpassable in safety inspections in many states, you'll have a check brakes light and a voided warranty for anything related to the VSA like brakes or the ECU.

On the street, there i no reason to keep VSA off unless you're stuck in show or a situation where you need to spin the tires. If you want it off all the time because you drive like Michael Schumacher... well wheelspin isnt going to help you any because you drive a FWD family sedan. You cant throttle-steer in a FWD vehicle, best case scenario you go headfirst into a tree a little faster.

There is no reason for VSA to apply brakes unless you're already in a slip condition. Your MPG will not be affected unless you drive like a madman at which point your MPG should be fairly far down.

As for premature brake wear, that more of a descriptor of how someone drives. You can't beat physics. I someone drives "spiritedly" y are going to replace them more often than someone driving relaxed.

TL? There is a VSA switch to the left of the steering wheel. You'll have to disable it everytime you turn the car on, though.
