So I got an email yesterday. From Benson Inkley, the same person who held the presentation about the DTS at IDF in August.

At IDF Taiwan details about TjMax for all Intel?s Core 2 processor line will be revealed.
This includes Core 2 Duo, Quad, Xeons. Both 45nm and 65nm flavors.
QX9775 should be mentioned as well.

Also more information should be revealed about the IA32_TEMPERATURE_TARGET MSR for the Nehalem.

Well, I imagine it means that we'll finally know the correct TJMax value to use with RealTemp, so we don't end up with temperature readings 5 degrees higher or 5 degrees lower than the actual.

Hasn't Intel already confessed the correct T junction values for all their cpus? This happened like 2 months ago.

Yep, this already happened in August... here is the original thread.

edit: Er, that thread only has 45nm numbers. Not 65nm. Then again, which is more important to most overclockers these days? 🙂
