Tj09 and tj07 clearance questions

Well after beating my head against the wall for the last two weeks trying to drop temps in my c2d setup in a older CM cavalier case I have decided to get a Silverstone tj07 or a tj09

Will the removable motherboard tray still come out on with a really big hsf like the scythe ninja or the tunic on both?


I am hedging toward the 07 since its sooo damn sexy and the cooling on looks hard to mess up.

The 07 is more looks over function IMO. The 09 has it the other way around. But you don't have to pay nearly that much for a really good case. Check the Akasa-like case thread here. Not so pretty but very functional. All aluminum except for the mobo drawer which is stainless steel.

I have an 07. Love the damn thing. Big, Roomy, good for wire management, dual PSU support, etc... I can go on and on. I can tell you from personal experiance that the tray slides of just find with a zalman CNPS 9700 installed, that is just about the biggest HSF I have ever installed into that case so I cant comment on the Tuniq.

Great! Thanks for the replies. I am gonna start with air and see how high I can get my 6600-hoping for 3.2ish-I am worried my ram is gonna hold me back though ,bough some adata ddr2 800 on sale for super cheap.

Seeing all that room I should also be able to upgrade to water within a year or so and still have enough room. ^^
