I want to put TV on my laptop for plane and car rides. I have a TIVO. I want to export from the TIVO and play at 1:1 into the computer into some media format that could then easily play back. I assume I'm looking for some sort of Dazzle like thing? What about file formats and encoding?

this is an option ATI TV WONDER USB 2.0 but it is a little expensive and all I need is rca ins or if I am lucky s-vid. I allready have a TIVO I dont need the DVR stuff
 
so far I think the ATI is my best bet. I just wish there was something cheaper with out all the tuning abilitites
