Tivo : I was forced to watch a commercial !

The other day I was forwarding past some commercials and came to a commercial (some insurance company, Farmers or State Farm I think)...anyways the forwarding stopped on its own right at the beginning of this commercial and it would not let me go past it at all. I tried several
times to make sure it was not some kind of fluke or something but I am 100% certain that the remote only lost control exactly where this commercial began and until it ended.

I hope this is not a common thing.
 
i wonder if they can set it so u can;t fastforward the commerial, would totally outdate the tivo, i mean thats the main reason i would get it so i can fastforward the commericals,
