I absolutely love TQ & TQ:IT, but after reformatting once and movng my documents location the other time, the storage thing they added in Immortal Throne is driving me insane. They apparently don't keep the storage item files in the save game folders, as I have lost everything twice so far. Is there any way to keep these items in storage, or is it better to just use the TQVault program?

Like shortylickens, I just started playing again. But I will be needing to reformat here pretty soon, so I figured I'd give this another try at solving.

I found that out the hard way too.
Made a new gaming system and copied over EVERYTHING (or so I thought) and when I loaded up old characters I noticed none of them had a damn thing in their vaults, not even the extra spaces granted by purchasing a larger vault from the caravan guy.

Was very pissed off. I had a handful of sweet artifact recipes and a buttload of completed or mostly-completed runes. I decided to not spend hours and hours trying to find where they went on my harddrive and just set about to playing the game.

HELPFUL HINT TO OWNERS OF THE GAME:
If you want to transfer stuff sucessfully between computer systems make sure you go into the game and put all your valuables in your characters inventory, not the extra storage at the caravan.

I also lost a handful of cool rings and such. Got them with my hi-level elementalist and was saving them for other characters when they got to the appropriate level.

Its in your My Documents My Games area

BTW, I also love this game. I fired it up about a month ago with IT for the first time.. wow... I made a Harbringer and its damn awesome. I already had TQVault with many backed up ownage items, so my low level character was simply owning the game. I'm back at Epic Hades and i'm level 48. IT is kick ass.

The save games are, but if you back those up, and then reformat or change the 'my documents' folder, everything in storage goes away. So either they have some other special (ie hidden) file that I missed, or it's stoed in the game folder.

Probably best just to stick with TQVault and then you don't have to worry about it.

yep. Storage is a waste of cold when you got TQVault.
