The problem is that IGN has the file mislabeled. It says that it is a 1.08->1.11 patch, but the filename they have linked says 101_111, which matches with the error you got. No need. There should never be a need to do what you suggested! That's back azz-wards
You can go into the game and let it update but what I'm saying is that you cannot manually download the update from 1.08 to 1.11 and run the exe. It simply won't let you.
