Here is Metro LL run again at 1920x1080, Tesselation off, and PhysX off. Everything else is same. So I'm the same as Desperado's first run.

Lol i have everything on and at Max.U can see again.Tessleation is at very high but it is not showing and i searched about this many people are getting same error by using steam but still Tessleation is on

We don't know that for sure. Mine says "OFF" when I turn tesselation off. Your's says "unsupported" when you say you have it on?
I think it isn't running. And PhysX says "Disabled" for you as well.
I am using the Steam version of Metro Last Light as well.

pretty sure he had tessellation on. for some reason it shows up as "not supported" for some people even though its enabled.

The only way to test that theory is to have him turn off Tesselation in the bench and see if his framerate goes up.

yep

wish everyone would run the same res. you can use 1920x1080 on your 1920x1200 screen cant you? just would make things easier since hardly anyone uses 1920x1200 benchmarks.

so 98 fps for 780 sli and 3770k at 4.3 and 85 fps for titan black and 2500k at 4.3. even account for a few fps from 1080 to 1200 difference that is still huge difference considering desprado has slower gpus.

Hold on a sec. Lemme try to o/c these boys for a minute. BRB.

EDIT: Yup. Not much of a difference. Avg. only went up to 89 when I o/c'd the Titans 125MHz core and 100MHz memory.
I guess the CPU really is affecting. So if I o/c the Sandy to say 4.5 or 4.6 I should see gains far more than if just o/c'ing the Titans.

I'll give that a go.

Ok, now take into account I'm running stock clocks and a Sandy at same clocks as your Ivy @4.3 which is good for about 5%.
your cards boost hardly any less than what he is boosting to. he would have to oc to 1310 to match yours at 1046. so again he is easily beating your scores with gpus that are quite bit slower.

Certainly interesting. I didn't think Ivy was that much better over Sandy. Going to read a few reviews to refresh.

well its a combo of HT and the tiny bump in IPC that helps in this game. when running SLI there is more cpu overhead to deal with so HT and any extra performance can help. I promise you both Metro 2033 and LL are smoother with HT on especially in the benchmarks which are more cpu intensive.

I lowered my res to 1360x768 and tested since that is sort of like have 780 sli at 1080. I tested with and without HT and there was a 10% difference from that alone. the bench stuttered a little with my 2500k and I get the same little stutters with HT disabled on my 4770k.

so really with Titan Black sli, I would suggest something like 4770k so you should really go ahead and jump on Broadwell when it comes out.

Do the Titan Blacks have the DP switch like the original Titans did? If so, what's the clocks w/DP enabled, please?

Didn't realize Crysis 3 uses so much CPU.
its the most cpu intensive shooter/action game out there. there are still a few spots where I cant stay above 60 fps with my 4770k but with my 2500k it could not stay above 40 fps the whole time.

Cards like that with a 2500k may not be optimal. Just throw a 2700k in your board and you are good to go. Or even a 3770k if your board will support it.

So... the CPU isn't making that big of a difference, really? What is Ivy's IPC advantage over Sandy, 5-10%?
