Tiscali Modem 56K

Im having a bit of a problem with my fathers pc. Whenever you start the internet it dials up and the connection is made. From the Homepage, which at the moment is Google, you can then do a search and get the results, but after that if you try to open the pages everything is not available. I have tried a different Modem, re-installed Tiscali a few times, but always the same. I just cant work out what the problem is. Any Ideas anyone? Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd say to try to get another modem to test with to rule out hardware. . .

Thanks for that mate, but after going down all the other roads I can thinkoff, I came to the conclusion that the Modem was knackered, bought a new one and the same thing happens. I am thinking of Reinstalling Windows next, not sure if this will sort it, but I cant really think of anything else. Im still open to any suggestions. Cheers
