yes, they can either ship it to you or ship it to an installer who you would then have mount the tires

i used tirerack to replace a single tire about a month ago. worked great, and prices are cheap

Depends on the installer, I guess. Do you know what tire places you have in your area? I'd call around and get an estimate.

I've seen some places do it for $15.00 to 20.00 per tire.

Most will do it for that range. You can browse the local installers, and they will show you approx what they charge to install.

I replaced all 4 tires on my van for $160 including installation.
Takes about 30 minutes.

Find the best price on the web (i.e. - tirerack) than bring over to Discount Tire. They will pricematch and beat-it by 10% (I believe). Also, they over a rather good warranty package.

tirerack almost everytime...you need to be a little flexible on brand (like michelin may be cheaper at your local Sears).

I got 4 AVS100's (205/50R16) and saved $25 per tire even after shipping. I found some HTR200's by sumitomo for my wife (she needed 2 Firestone Affinity's which suck) and I got all 4 for less than the price of two Firestones locally (the HTR200's were $41 each). The tire place loved that tire...it's extremely smooth and quiet.

Shipping is usually around $10 per tire.

Install varies greatly....their recommended installers are usually worth it since you can ship directly to them for no extra cost (4 tires take up a lot of room)...A local mechanic i like actually became one in May this year so I used him I was charged $17 per wheel: mount/balance/stems.

Wal-Mart has the cheapest tires. They are called douglas. They are name brand tires like goodyear, firestone, etc... but just made for wal-mart. Read the treadwear on the side and try to get one with 400 or higher.

They are 60,000 mile all-season tires with full replacement warranty if they need replaced before 30,000, and prorated credit between 30,000 and 60,000.

I think they are Uniroyal.
