Can cold temperatures affect tire pressure.

got a flat this morning.

yes it can, but i think that tire would have had to be low already unless there was a very dramatic change in pressure

Yes, tire pressures typically drop by about 3 psi from summer pressures due to colder air in the winter. Can it cause a flat? Very unlikely, though there is a very (and mean very) small chance that the change in temperature caused the rubber to contract a bit and lose the seal against the rim of the wheel. I would say that there is a 99.9% chance that the flat is unrelated to temperature change though.

there was a 20F degree drop overnight. 67 last night to 47 and drizzle this morning.

Think I read that for every 10 degree drop in temp you lose 2 PSI. Funny thing is I never the the reverse.
