Well, apart from the semi-truthful running joke that the programmers didn't really "get any" at the game-programming startup I worked for (unlike the artists, apparently)... I agree with the fact that such a job is rather stressful. I left also, due to mostly burn-out. Did your office also have a "sleeping area" for the programmers?
