I'm looking to get rid of this airplane engine HSF and get something that is quieter but just as efficient as my WBK38. I've had no complaints with it other than the noise. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

In case my sig doesn't show it:
Epox 8K7A w/ 1.2 Tbird OC'd 1.4

I've also read about copper heatsinks. Are they any better? Thanks.

copper is better. I had a ThermalRight SK-6 with a 30cfm Delta fan, but it is almost as loud as the one on your HS. If you got the fan off a FOP32, I believe it is a 26 cfm YS Tech and strapped that to a SK-6, it would give you good temperatures and acceptable noise levels. this right here might not be a bad choice.

Alternatively you can buy an Alpha PAL8045 and use an 80mm fan on it, but you'll have to check if your motherboard is compatible with it here. Also know that you have to remove your motherboard to install it, so unless you want to go through all that trouble, go for the SK-6.

I use a Glabalwin CAK-38, but I changed the fan ( the same as yours, for a normal 27 cfm 5000rpm Ystech fan, the CPU is abou 1~2ºc hotter but at an imcomparable noise level. My brother has the same Glabalwin WBK-38 and he did the same as me. Because his case is better cooled than mine he achives better temps than me so try this at your own heat-sink and I am shure you will be ok.
