Tired of UPS & FedEx

[rant]
I am tired of finding the note on the door saying basically 'we were here but you were not. What do they expect? People usually work daytime.
Worst part is when that happens on t efinal attempt and I have to pick the #¤¤%&¤#& things up myself. I pay for 2'nd day shipping and get the stuff a week later because they are not smart enough to leave it at the rental office or come later the next time.

Last time I called UPS and asked them why they try to deliver in the middle of the day when that already failed twice. Answer : 'We can not control when it is going to be delivered'. I then asked why they mark the time for the next attempt? Answer: 'Doooh.. ummm'

Why don't you just sign the waiver form that tells the driver to leave the package?

Have em deliver your stuff to your office if it's cool with them.

Unless you're ordering nighttime playthings :Q

Why don't you have it delivered to were you work? Why did you get 2nd day shipping if you constantly have problems receiving packages?

I won't be surprised if one day I see this in the news:

...a UPS delivery man was severely beaten today on the job... sources say the suspect had expected his package several days ago... a lead pipe was found at the scene... UPS was unavailable for comment...

I use my debit card when ordering things and the stoopid bank won't let me have things delivered to any other adress than the billing adress. Don't ask why. (Wells Fargo is crap)

No that will not happen because I just (today) got my new CC. Btw, the debit card is fine online. Backed up by VISA with a maximum limit of $500.

You do know that if you call your bank and tell them you want to put a secondary (shipping) address on the card they will, right?

I signed the waiver asking them to leave packages at the leasing office, and haven't had any problems so far. Sometimes they get lazy and go straight to the office without stopping by my door though.

Can you not, on those days when you are expecting a package, tape a note to your door asking the driver to leave it at the rental office?

Thank goodness for my FREE PostNet mailbox, they sign for all my packages and I can even call and check to see if a package has arrived or not :D

How would that help?
Please elaborate.

The courier delivers the package to my PostNet box rather than my house, PostNet is open Monday - Saturday 'till 6PM and they sign my packages for me.

But most people have to pay the $15/mo fee.
