Tired of paying for dialing 411?

Just got this email from my nextel dealer

Dear Friends & Associates:

Instead of dialing 411 from your cell phone and paying $1.50, you can now call 1-800-FREE-411.

I assume this works for all carriers? It's odd that Nextel would send you that since they make money on that don't they?

Nextel didn't send it to me. My local Nextel dealer did.
