I have been "warned" by a mod that my FS thread violated the rules.

http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?p=30286723#post30286723

I had my ebay world link posted as feedback

http://myworld.ebay.com/speedyman_2

Here's the only rule about ebay.

"No auction style posts (best offer, make an offer, etc.). This includes links to items listed on auction sites (ebay, etc.)."

My post is not an "Auction style" post. Also, that link is not an Item listing. Yet the mod said in his PM, "We also do not allow links to your eBay "My World" page which may include auctions or other sales

This is not made clear in the FS/FT Rules thread. Or am I missing something?

Links to eBay where an auction listing, buy-it-now listing, etc are not allowed. We make no differentiation between an "auction link" or a "buy-it-now link".

The link to the MyWorld on eBay has the potential to show ongoing listings from a person's account, as your does. Now just because a member may not have had a current eBay listing does not matter. We will not click on eBay links to see if you have an ongoing listing which would violate our rules. Therefore, we exclude ALL myWorld links from eBay to show your feedback.

Actually the rules are very clear. They say no links to your items listed on auction sites

No auction style posts (best offer, make an offer, etc.). This includes links to items listed on auction sites (ebay, etc.).

Instead, just link to your feedback (see below) and the problem is solved.

I don't know how much clearer I have to be. That was not a link to THE ITEM or to a AUCTION or to a BUY IT NOW. I don't even have that item on ebay. The link was clearly marked FEEDBACK. Even the Feedback page has "POTENTIAL" for listing since it has the "View items for sale" link.

"No auction style posts (best offer, make an offer, etc.). This includes links to items listed on auction sites (ebay, etc.)."

I don't know how you can say that's clear. That's way too vague if we're going to start talking about the "potential" of a link to show listings. If you're only going to allow 1 specific link from ebay, why is it not in the rules.

Ok, your myworld link had a listing of yours on the page to the left. There is an item you have for sale there. It says "16 tudor crystals". This is why we don't allow links to myworld. It shows a person's for sale items.

All you are allowed is a simple link to your feedback which I provided to you already.

And yes, you could access a person's for sale items from the feedback page by clicking of the " View items for sale" link but the difference is that the items are not visible from the feedback link as they are in the myworld link.
