DON'T buy the cheapest tire you can find. I think that your best bang for the buck would be the Yokohama AVID TRZ.

Well, what sort of driving do you do? Are you looking for a max performance tire, a high-performance all-season, or a tire that will get a bit more life and be quieter like a touring tire?

I typically try to drive lightly, and keep the tach below 2 grand. I would prefer something that will last 30-40k and be quiet. 'Tis a touring sedan, as I would like a quiet tire.

i ordered a set of 225/55-17 ZE-912's for my 05' altima last week from discounttires for $300 shipped. I can let you know how they are if i ever get them...

i think the consensus is that they are quiet, grippy all-season tires. although i have a feeling that they won't last for many miles.
