Ok, I'm probably going to need tires soon and I'm looking for others' opinions. I'm looking at a tire that provides a good balance of quietness, a good ride, wet and dry performance. I have Pirelli PZero 255/40/19 now (love them) and I'm looking to go 275/35/19. I would do 285s, but I think 285s will be too big for my 9.5" wide wheels. Anyway, I'm looking at either going PZero 275 all the way around or 275 Nitto Invo. I've never tried Nitto tires and would like a little feedback on them for those who have used them. I chose the Invos because the specs show they have a good balance with what I'm looking for and provide good performance. I will say, the Pirelli's I have offer great performance so I don't want to compromise that aspect. If the Nitto's offer better performance, great. If not, then I'll pass and just go with the Pirelli's.

Also, how is the tread life on the Nitto's? That's one thing the Pirelli's aren't great at, but they are performance tires so I guess that is expected.

Anyway, does anyone have any opinion on these tires?

I almost went Nittos on price this year. Ended up with Pzero Rossos and been happy with turn in and performance near the edge. Right out of the box they grip like crazy and are very forgiving vs the old contis...

Well there is a pretty big price difference between the Pirellis and the Nitto ($475 vs $275 per tire), so if the Nittos provide the same performance or better than the PZeros, I'll take them in a heart beat. But if it's not up to par, I'll just pony up the dough.

If you want to see what 285/35r19 looks like on a 9.5" wheel, look at the back of any BMW E60 M5 or E63 M6 (current gen).

Have you considered Michelin pilot super sports ?

Also, what car are we talking about here? I hope its not a Toyota Corolla or something. :p

It's a Pirus. :) j/k, Mustang GT. And no, I haven't looked at the Michelin's. Are they better than the Pirelli PZeros?
