Tire pressure problem

Nocturnal

Lifer
I was noticing some thumping the past couple of days on my Civic. I checked the two rear tires pressure and sure enough it shoots the gauge all the way out to pass fifty. I think there is definately something wrong with the two rear tires. What would be causing the pressure in there to be so high that it would shoot the tire pressure gauge out to fifty? Even after letting air out it was still malfunctioning. I checked the two fronts and they were perfect.

Do you remember when was the last time you checked your tire pressure? Whoever fill it the last time probabily screwed up big time. I hope that wasn't you. Get it back to 30-35psi and you should be fine.

Civics have an auto inflator?😛 It was a full moon the otherday maybe that had something to do with it.

seriously: does the thumping coincide with how fast your going. did it change it when you brought the pressure back down to 30-35 was the sound coming from boh sides, what kink of sound was it... the only way your pressure is going to increase is if it gets really hot or someone puts air in it
